Research projects:

My PhD-project is about the phylogeny and evolution of aculeate Hymenoptera. Using µCT-scans and 3D-reconstructions I investigate characters of skeletal-muscles of these animals. A broad morphological data set should clarify phylogenetic relationships. Particularly unclear conditions of homology should be checked and characters of Aculeata should be elaborated.
